Free Printable – Rock Paper Scissors

I posted the original that I found in April. No one could find a way to purchase it or information on the author. A photo was taken of it and simply put on cslacker.   So, as requested by a friend, I decided to make it printable.

Here is the original.

It is available in a 16×20 size or an 8×10 size. Both are at 300 dpi and in tiff format. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the lingo, it just means they will print well in those sizes, as opposed to you just printing out this web image.  I also gave it more of a margin in case you have matting or any obstructions.

To download them in the proper printing format, simply visit my Free Printables page and click on the link.  (They are large files.) After you download the zipped file, right click the folder to unzip.  Then, open and print.  I recommend sending them to Kinkos for a nice professional quality print.

Update 8/23/11:  Made a second version without the word “screw” in it.

  1. That is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. My kids drive me crazy with rock paper scissors! This is going on my wall for sure! Thanks for the printable!

  2. This is awesome! It’s the first time I’ve seen it, but I love it. Paper rock scissors is one of my main methods for settling disagreements :).

  3. Oh, this is too funny! I am a new subscriber so I haven’t seen this before. Thanks for the download or whatever you call it. This reminds me of Bri at Me, You and a wiener dog. Ann

I love love love this. I think it’s really super funny and I think it’s fantastic that you turned it into a printable for all of us! Now… that being said… I would love to put this up in my office, but because I have small children don’t think I should because of the ‘screw scissors’ phrase. I don’t know how hard it would be to do this, but is there any way you could post another one with the words ‘forget scissors’ instead? In a 16×20 size? Pretty pretty pretty please?

    • Lara, it’d be super easy if I had saved the file properly with all of the layers. I have no idea what happened to that version. Anyway, I don’t mind at all. I’ll let you know when the new one is up. I thought about that myself, but then I figured I’d be true to the original artist. But, I think this is a good idea to have an alternative. Thanks for asking.

      • Check the printables file. It should be there! It will be third one listed. Please let me know if you have any issues with it. Enjoy. I’d love to see a photo of it in your home!

  5. This cracks me up. I’ve always wondered how paper ever beat rock to.

  6. Congrats! This was the most viewed link at last week’s linky party.

  7. How funny is that!! I’m definately pinning you to my funny board on pinterest.

  8. I just wanted to say thank you for posting this. I have wanted this in my house for so long, ever since I stumbled across the “original” photo floating around the net. I always said, one day I’d figure out how to make one- but let’s be real…one day was going to be never because I am neither a) techie or b) crafty. Thank you so much for doing the hard part. I just ordered my photo canvas print. Can’t wait until it comes. The randomness of this is just amazing.

  9. I just have to say it (sorry) You rock! Love this-printing for my son’s room- tu also for providing one w/o screw.
