Great Laundry/ Mud Rooms

My next project is my laundry room!  I am open to your input as I haven’t solidified a plan just yet.  So, ready for some inspiration?

None of these are precise inspiration for my laundry room (which also acts as a mud room), but they are all rooms that I like for various reason – lighting, benches, coat hooks, storage, color, and so on.  They can all be found on my Pinterest boards.   They link back to sources there.

First, straight up laundry rooms.  Click on any image to see a larger version.

  1. Wow- I love these laundry/mud rooms! My favorite mud room is the gorgeous room with the ladder! I could definitely get some laundry work done in style with these spaces! :) You are the blog above me from Elizabeth’s linky party!! :) Happy Weekend!

  2. I love the two images next to each other – the one with the big map and then the one with the white beadboard and black hooks. I like seeing the different levels that they have for storage – especially since that wall is sooo long. So you could do some ledging up high to add some decorative items (your art that you have) and then some hooks for coats, bags, and things, and then some cubbies or just storage down low for shoes, umbrellas, etc. I’ve always loved when people do pebbles in a tray for rain boots – wouldn’t it be cool to do that underneath a bench to add a fun element and some texture? Not sure if it’s the most functional but it would definitely be pretty neat – and you could also add in some decorative storage bins. Enjoy – this is a fun project – I’ll be excited to see what you decide.

  3. *LOVE* those inspiration pics…and funny enough, the common strain in them is light and bright! I’m down with that! Are you planning on changing the color? Because I also am a fan of the bold stripe on the accent wall (c: Two white benches with hooks over them with the big mirror in the middle and you would be golden! Of course, as a girly girl, I think you should add a chandelier…even if it’s only small and just decorative. I’m just full of good ideas when it’s not my space and/or money! HA! (c:

  4. Love all your inspiration photos! We are going to be tweeking our laundry and mud rooms. I plan on board and batten and a soft grey/blue colour above. Cool hooks in the mudroom and some vintage vibe canisters for laundry room. Good luck with your transformation!

  5. Beautiful inspirations Kristy. Good luck with your transformation, I know it will be fabulous! I can’t wait to see what you come up with. Thanks for linking up to mix and mingle this week, have a great weekend.
