Coat Hooks

Coat hooks are being used in mud rooms and laundry rooms a lot these days!  They are great for jackets and backpacks and even hats.

I put some coat hooks in my laundry room design since we like to hang our jackets in there, as it also acts as a mudroom in our house.  And, so began my search for the right coat hook.  Here are some that I found, some of which I considered.

Vintage hooks from this etsy shop in Portugal provide lots of character.

So cool, huh?

Another of theirs?

If you like old school I found these at another etsy shop.

How about something more fun?

Or, maybe these vintage inspired faucet hooks.

If you prefer contemporary, try these.

Urban Outfitters has several to choose from, some of which were pretty quirky.

What style of coat hook do you prefer?  What do you think would look best in my laundry room?  I do have my eye on one of these!

  1. Love the door knobs as hooks. I saved a bunch of the door knobs off the old doors in our old home and have used them all over! Of course, mine are not as cute as that one! I just hung a row of hooks in my pantry for all my aprons!

  2. I really like the vintage Portuguese ones and the keyhook one from Urban Outfitters. I like the faucet-handle ones but it would be hard to hang some stuff on them, I think. I can’t want to see what you pick!

  3. I think the faucet hooks would be especially cute..kind of a nod to the fact that they’re in your laundry room!

  4. So glad you posted this! Just had this great idea to collect several coat hooks to create a “collage” on my walls. These are superb! Absolutely love the faucet handles. :o)
