One of my readers sent me this fabulous chair redo! She painted it all, fabric and wood using my tutorial.
Before and after.
Before.
The white paint is a high gloss white paint and primer in one that she had on hand. For the fabric, she just used a $5 sample of a purple latex paint. She used three coats.
She said the hardest part was where the fabric touched the wood. She taped it off and did a great job!
Thanks for sharing, Andrea. Have you painted upholstery?

It looks great! I definitely need to try this soon!
Just came across your blog! So glad I did…For sure becoming a new follower and scrolling back for more great posts!
I’ve been meaning to comment about your fab chair, but then it slipped my mind. I love this idea!!! I would be soooo nervous unless I bought the chair knowing I was going to paint it. I love how your color options would be limitless! I’m gonna have to give this a try with something. I did paint my outdoor umbrella. Does that count? I’ve also seen painted lamp shades around blog land. I didn’t link to the pink chaise but I can’t believe she was able to cover the pattern. I see it showing through in most. VERY exciting idea! Love your colors.
