A Reader’s Painted Chair

A reader posted this painted chair on her blog, My House of Giggles.  She used my tutorial to paint it.  One coat of paint later and here it is.

She is debating if to leave it with some of the orange showing through or do another coat.  What do you think?

  1. Love the color, I like the orange peeking through!

  2. The orange gives it a good iridescent look….I want to see the rest of the house! It looks amazing from the little shot…

  3. I probably would coat it again myself. That chair is fabulous and her home looks so stylish. Hope we get to see more!

  4. Would leave it with the orange showing through. I think it looks fabulous!… the orange gives it another dimension. More vintage-ish, if you will.

  5. So beautiful, and I adore the orange peeking through!

  6. Wow!Kristy! Thanks so much for posting about ny chair! I feel so completely unworthy to have my chair pictured on the same blog as yours!!! yours is so amazing. I figured that since I just seem to have run out of the kind of patience needed to turn mine into yours, I’m going to embrace the vintage-y look of mine with only one coat ;) I’ve actually come to really love it now…..and thank you everyone for the reassurance! And for all your kind comments about my little house :) xo

  7. She did a great job! Love the color!

  8. It gives it a little more interest with the orange coming through.. I like it!

  9. Its lovely just the way it is! I am so glad I found your special place here. Thanks for sharing. I will follow on my way out so as I would love to visit again. I hope you will find the time to come visit my place and do the same. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and I look forward to engaging and supporting your blog in the New Year. Cheers SpecialK XoXo
