As we look for a home to buy, I always pay attention to décor just in case I get good ideas along the way! I look past it for my own purposes, as I know I can paint a room and change things up, but for simple inspiration, it’s fun to check out! Here is a home in Austin that I thought was particularly well done for just a home listed on the MLS.
So, if you read this and this is your house, kudos to you! I met the owner as she pulled into the garage. Super nice. I wish I had gotten her contact info. I wonder if she has a blog!
Add some curtains and it could be amazing! But, who would want to do that as they are selling? Not many. Those plantation shutters are very nice! I love the dark wood flooring as well.
So cute, huh? Wish it had worked out, but the home just didn’t have the backyard privacy we desire.

Loved it. My house has a similar, 2-story living room. I’m glad to see it can look pulled together without having to decorate all those extra tall walls.
Hi Kristy, I am one of the lucky ones that got to see YOUR home in Phoenix. I would have LOVED your beautiful home but it just didn’t work out because my husband is self-employed and the association thing didn’t work out for us. (Too many vans and trailers). But anyways, I just had to tell you how delighted I was to find you had a blog and how much it inspired me. The whole house was wonderful but especially the laundry room. I never thought a laundry room could be so cute! I will never have a plain white laundry room again!
She did a wonderful Job decorating. Something tells me she reads blogs =) Love the bar stools!
Now this is a house that I think anyone can see themselves living in! What a great eye for design this homeowner has. It isn’t over done and the colors are very neutral for prospective buyers.
