I promised more on Kara when I talked about headboards last week.
Kara played pro basketball for a year after college and then went into interior design. She is self taught and is a diy genius. She does projects in such a way that screams stylish, yet inexpensive. I wanted to share a few highlights.
Check out this feature wall that she made out of foil tape. Pretty sweet, huh?! I would like to try this… somewhere. Hmm… behind our tv stand (dresser)? I’m not sure yet. But, what an impact for two hours and $10!
And, that inspired Pam at Simple Details to do this nail head treatment on the ceiling. Amazing!!
Another fabulous project is her paint chip art.
I LOVE the photo she and her husband took with it as a backdrop!
Not entirely different is her fish scale wall.
Be sure to check out more of her fabulous diy projects on my headboards post and on her blog!

Wow she’s done some amazing things! That foil wall and paint chip art are awesome!
I love her blog, she is so creative!!
Seriously swooning over the foil tape and fish scales! I dont think my husband would let me do the foil tape though
Thanks for sharing this great resource.. Can’t wait to get over there!

Wow, she is very inspirational! Thanks for sharing.
I just love all of her stuff!
Oh my goodness, I am flattered. Thank you so much for such a wonderful feature! I am beyond happy that others find inspiration in my creations! PS- I’ve been inspired by you as well! I’m going to try my hand at painting a chair very soon! Wish me luck!
Thanks so much mentioning my ceiling, Kristy! What a fun surprise to be here checking what YOU’RE up to and see it! I’m dying to see that foil tape somewhere, I hope you try it!! And, Kara is just as kind and supportive as she is inspirational!
